Opportunity:

• Shadow practitioners in private treatments Observe practitioners in the clinic room with the patient. Over time as the practitioners and patients become more comfortable with your presence and demeanor, you may have an additional opportunity to feel pulses before and after treatments and practice direct moxibustion on patients.

• Gain operational experience Witness the day-to-day operations of a dual private-community practice. Over time you may have an opportunity for direct experience by filling patient herbal prescriptions and analyzing lab tests from an East-Asian medical perspective.

Compensation: $23/hour to start

Initial Responsibilities:

• Patient Care Admin: Fill HRx Fill and refill patient herbal prescriptions. Communicate with patients about pickup and dropoff. Ensure accurate label information. Ensure treatment rooms are stocked with necessary supplies, clean treatment rooms and replace linens between patients. After appointments ensure patients are scheduled according to their care plans. Be sure to record formula and product purchases in Jane.
• Clinic Maintenance: Maintain a clean and put-together clinic space. Take out the garbage regularly, wash graduated cylinders in the dishwasher as needed, vacuum floors daily and Swiffer wet-jet weekly. Unpack, put away, and track supplies and inventory weekly. Ensure all treatment rooms have sufficient supplies and backups.
